Remember your first bike? Was it a Christmas or birthday present?
You
had probably identified it well before "that special day" and nagged,
conspired, schemed and cajoled your parents until the unrelenting "buy
me a bike" paid off.
Or you may have saved up all your hard earned pocket money to get that gleaming machine.
Maybe it was an old rusting frame with flat tyres and brakes that
either didn't work or were seized against the wheel rim so you had to
peddle twice as hard to keep up with the rest.
Your first proper bike, not the fixed wheel tricycle you rode in
circles around the front room, your first two wheeler with no training
wheels, would have changed your life.
